WTRP - Walk Trek Run Pedal
Explore & experience Kaziranga like never before
Service Description
WTRP in Kaziranga is an initiative, Walk Trek Run Pedal, says Aaghun, designed to encourage year-round tourism and benefit local communities. The WTRP program allows visitors to engage in walking, trekking, running, and pedaling activities on the beautiful Karbi mountain range (situated opposite to the Kaziranga National Park) filled waterfalls and springs flowing through it. Visitors can earn badges for each activity, visitors who collect six badges within a calendar year receive special recognition and privileges. A portion of the WTRP activity funds supports social initiatives and community development within Kaziranga. How it works: Visitors who participate in the WTRP activities (walking, trekking, running, and pedaling) earn badges. Accumulating six badges within a year grants them special recognition and privileges, such as exclusive access or discounts, according to Aaghun. Community benefits: A portion of the funds generated through the WTRP activities is channeled towards social initiatives and community development projects, such as clean-up drives, tree planting, conservation efforts, and public awareness programs. This ensures that the tourism benefits extend to the local population.
